Rev. Paul R. Chovanec, BA, MTh, born in ElCampo, TX and raised in Houston, TX, graduated from the University of Saint Thomas, Houston, TX, and was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston in 1972 by the late Bishop John L. Morkovsky, S.T.D. Father Chovanec has maintained a lively interest in the Czech  Heritage of his family and is presently serving also on the Boards of the Czech Catholic Foundation of Texas and the Slavic Alliance of Greater Houston.  He has served several parishes and is presently the pastor of Saint Justin Martyr Parish in Houston.
